After School Activities

After School Sports Activities 2013 - 2014

I am delighted to tell you that we are once again providing a wide range of optional Sports Activities after school on Mondays Wednesdays and Thursdays between 3.15 and 4.30 pm for pupils from Year One to Year Six. We will be offering many of the favourites from last year including Street Dance and Karate.
When choosing children to represent the school in tournaments and competitions during the year, I will be selecting mainly from those who have been participating in the after School Activities.

The cost for any of the activities will be £10 per half term per activity and children may take part in just one activity, or as many as three.

What should children wear?
Children should wear full PE kit for their activity (navy shorts, black or white trainers, not plimsolls, white T-shirt, navy tracksuit or jogging bottoms and a warm navy top for outdoors. Hair should be tied back.
Please note that jewellery (including studs) is not allowed. If children do not have their PE kit with them, they should speak to Mrs Campbell.

How should payment be made?
Sessions should be paid a half term in advance for the coming half term. Please place the payment in an envelope with your child’s name and class and give to your child to give to their class TA at the beginning of the school day.

Who will lead the activities?
After school activities are led by trained sports coaches who each have a current CRB certificate.

Collecting your child
All activities finish at 4.30 pm. Parents are asked to wait outside in the playground near your child’s collection classroom, please be patient while we send the children out to you. Please also be punctual in collecting children as those who are not collected on time will be registered with Tea Time Club for which a charge will be made.

What are our behaviour expectations?
We expect all children to behave with respect and manners to the coaches and their fellow peers, as they do during the school day. In appropriate behaviour will be dealt with accordingly.
