Extended Day

At St Francis’ Catholic Primary School we understand that parents may not always be able to drop their children off at school at the beginning of the schools day in time for our 8.55am start and collect them at the end of the school day at 3.15pm. To help our parents we have a Breakfast Club that starts from 7.30am.
Parents are welcome to drop-off their child or children at any time up until 8.25am if they wish them to be served breakfast or 8.40am if they do not.

Children have a choice of a hot or cold breakfast with a drink. They are then supervised by school staff until the beginning of the school day.

We also run a Tea Time Club from 3.15pm to 6pm. Children are helped with their homework, have a range of activities available to them and are served a hot meal.
The weekly timetable for Tea Time Club is as follows:

Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday
3:15 – 4:30 Art and crafts Board games PE games Cooking Movie day
4:30 – 5:00 Homework check Times tables Handwriting Maths
Education city
Homework check
5:00 – 5:30 Dinner
5:30 – 6:00 End of day with big games on Hall
Just dance, jenga, air hockey table, basketball table etc.

We aim to provide care for the children who attend these clubs in a secure environment each day during the school term except where there are unforeseen school closures.

The clubs follow the ethos and mission statement of St Francis’ Catholic Primary School.

Bookings must be made in advance by Sunday midnight before the week of the booking via the ParentPay website. This is to enable us to order a sufficient number of meals and have appropriate staffing levels.

Please also note there is a late collection fine for children being collected from Tea Time Club after 6pm. Parents who think they may be late should contact the tea Time Club on 07415 490 881 to let them know.

Please contact the School Office for an application form or to book your child/ren in.
